Penny Warner
“Connor Westphal is back in a new adventure that finds her tracking the killer of a local dope dealer. Connor, the deaf publisher of a small Gold Country newspaper, is nothing if not persistent. Finding Zander Nicholas' body hanging from a store in town sets her off, questioning Zander's reclusive partner, India, as well as the head of a local Native American-run casino, the leaders of a local religious sect, a tree-sitter and a right-wing militant, among others. What's nice about this book is the way Connor's deafness is such an integral part of the story…” http://www.mercurynews.com/books/ci_6327365
Anne White
“Anne White’s delightful mystery, set around historic Lake George, is a lively puzzler worthy of Agatha Christie. Tightly plotted, with more red herrings than a can of sardines, SECRETS DARK AND DEEP is White’s best yet.” —Julia Spencer-Fleming, Edgar finalist and author of ALL MORTAL FLESH www.annewhitemysteries.com/AWReviews.htm

"Look out. There's a new name in mystery fiction, Frank Foster, who knows the waters of Florida and dark caves of the human mind. May there be other books in the wake of this one. I'll surely read them."

Third Degree Interview
I was very excited to be included in Pari Noskin Taichert’s interview series in MWA’s newsletter, The Third Degree. Pari’s series does a great job in shedding light on the inner workings of an editor’s office. Her questions were specific and to the point, asking what most authors would likely want to know about mass market paperbacks, sales figures, what editors are looking for and what turns them off. I look forward to many more editions of this series!
